BC Transplant
BC Transplant 40th Anniversary Campaign
An autumn 2008 media campaign celebrating the 40th anniversary of the first organ transplant in B.C. yielded more than $40,000 in media coverage, including Global BC News Hour, Province, CBC Radio, CKNW, CFAX Victoria and News1130. As a result of the Global BC coverage, BC Transplant saw an increase in the number of people registering on the Organ Donor Registry after the story aired. It also received positive feedback about the story that appeared in The Province.
